Vítor Maria was born in Faro in 1965 and from an early age showed interest in Plastic Arts.
He had his first training in the arts at the Escola Secundária Tomás Cabreira between 1983 and 1985, where he was a student of professor Aníbal Ruivo and painter Rosa Trindade.
A self-taught artist, concerned with exploring all possible paths of art and who have a personal concept of beauty for themselves. The universe of his painting represents, above all, a spiritual evolution.
Through a free stroke it seeks to transmit movements and emotions to the screen, so that we can feel the lively presence of its content.
Always with the concern of acquiring new knowledge, he has been using the most varied techniques since, pastel, acrylic, oil, charcoal, watercolor, pen, graphite, achieving very surprising results.
Despite liking various artistic currents, he identifies himself with realism and it is in the portrait of the human figure where he stands out the most.
Effective member of the international art association PAS - Peace and Art Society, he has been present in national and international exhibitions in recent years.
His works can be found in his gallery and in private collections.
